Unfortunately due to the rise in energy costs we will have to increase our prices October 2022).
We will be keeping this increase to a minimum where we can.
We have availability to offer a Self Employed position within V12.
This is ideal for an established stylist looking to work within a salon environment. Percentage based.
You may receive curl topiary training if this is something you wish to learn in order to provide our lovely curly clients with the best curls in south Manchester.
All products, colours, towels, refreshments and back bar are provided in the salon for you.
You will be responsible for running your own diary and taking your own appointments.

Booking your appointment at V12
All the stylists at V12 are self-employed and are individually responsible for booking your appointment. For salon and stylist enquiries please call 0161485 8020 or by messaging our social media platforms with details of your request and a contact number.
We will do our best to accommodate your appointment requirements however we are currently short staffed.

Founded in 2006 V12 Hair Topiary is our new and exciting name for the formerly known V12 Hair Boutique. Whilst moving with the times and launching Curl Topiary it was the right time to rebrand the salon. V12 has always been my dream and my dream is now a very well established reality, with the topiary playing a huge part in all hair types, not just the curly haired people out there.
Working with the girls is like being surrounded by my best friends and family and you will see that when you step foot in the salon. Being self employed doesn't take away from the team work in the salon.
The salon has been in the family for over 40 years now, previously Gilly's (Vikki's mum). Once Gill's baby just like it is mine today. Gill still pops by to say hello.

Vikki
Salon owner and Senior stylist.
Meet Vikki, the salon owner of V12 and the creator of Curl Topiary. With over 20 years experience in hairdressing and 17 years the salon owner I love hairdressing and I love making people feel good about themselves. V12 takes up most of my time but when I am not working I am mum to 2 cheeky monkeys and love cooking, sewing, weight training and pole fitness.
Alyssa (liss)
Senior stylist
Meet Alyssa aka Lyss.
"I have been hairdressing now for almost 15 years now. Ive been part of the V12 family for the last 5 years. I have worked using different hair colour brands over my career including L'Oreal, Matrix and most recently SENSUS. I have had the great opportunity to travel to Italy with Vikki and completed the SENSUS colouring masterclass in 2018. I love everything hairdressing especially curly hair. My 2 children and Pole fitness keep me busy in my spare time."

Stylist
Meet Amber, Amber will be offering hair services and now eye lash and eye brow treatments within the salon.
"I love hairdressing because i love making people feel amazing and confident within themsleves. I love being creative with hair and all that can be done." Outside of V12 Amber likes to spend time in the kitchen cooking and baking.
Vian
Stylist
Vian has been with V12 for over 12 months now and is well established. Vian has a keen interest in V12's Curl Topiary method and enjoys working with all hair types.

Who we are and what we do.
At V12, we are all self employed, working together to bring you the best experience.
Vikki, the salon owner has been in hairdressing for over 20 years and has built the V12 brand since 2006. “Working with the girls is like having an extended family, we all get along like sisters. I love them all!”
Being the home of Curl Topiary this is one of the busiest parts of V12. Offering individual curl cutting techniques to create a bespoke shape to the clients individual curl pattern.
V12 are proud to work with some of the best brands on the market. Olaplex, K18, Keratin Revolution, Only Curls, amica.
The amazing Italian brand SENSUS. We have worked with SENSUS since 2018 and still love the brand as much as we did when we found it. Alyssa and Vikki had the privilege of taking part in the masterclass colouring course held in the beautiful Tuscany, Italy. It was an amazing experience.
Vikki trained and worked at Toni&Guy in Manchester, gaining lots of experience in many different techniques. Vikki is also a certified Keratin Revolution specialist with over 15 years of experience with keratin treatments. Working along side some of the best hairdressers in Manchester. “ now I get the pleasure to pass my experiences on to the V12 family”

Coloring
For all genders over the age of 16.
Using the best colour brand around - SENSUS. We are a fully trained SENSUS salon with Alyssa and Vikki taking part in the Italian colour masterclass. Emma and Jade have also completed SENSUS colour courses and look forward to taking part in the Masterclass soon.
Our most popular part of SENSUS is our Mc2 range, this range is vegan friendly, ammonia free and no added PPD or resorcinol. It is a 93% natural using Rosehip and Hawthorn to hydrate, Pomegranate and Sunflower to protect and olive leaves and vine leaves to reconstruct. Water from the River Tiber is used, then filtered and Returned back to the river.
We offer all types of colour services, from covering those first few “twinkles” to hand painted balayage, baby pinks to vivid neons. Nothing is out of our grasp.
We insist on a colour skin test 48 hours prior to your colour service (for clients travelling from a distance we can post out a skin test for you to complete at home.) Strand tests will be done when we feel they are needed. All consultations are complementary and a 50% booking fee will be required for all colour work over £70.

We all know how great it feels to walk out of a Hair Salon and be satisfied with the service we received. Our highly trained staff are here to tackle all your needs with a professional Styling that will leave you looking and feeling phenomenal. Come in and give us an hour or so of your time — you’ll be glad you did!
Curl Topiary
For strong waves and curly hair.
Curl Topiary- we are proud to be the home of Curl Topiary. This is a technique used to cut naturally curly hair. The curls are cut dry and individually to create a bespoke shape to your hair. No combing or brushing.
We support the Curly girl method but are not associated with the method. If you follow the method we are happy to use CG method approved products. If you have your own favourite products we are happy for you to bring them to your appointment. Curl Topiary is V12’s method of cutting curls.
Please allow up to 2 and a half hours for your appointment. Your hair should be clean and fully dry with minimum products in the hair as we need to see your curls in their natural state. No bobbles, clips or bands should be in the hair as this will cause the curls to take a false shape.
This technique is designed for wavy to curly hair, if we feel your hair isn’t wavy or curly enough for curl topiary we can offer a tension free haircut. This is done by using a wide tooth comb and a combination of curl topiary and traditional cutting methods to ensure the best results for you to manage your hair at home.
